The music was produced by Dan Knobler, best known for Lake Street Dive and Caroline Spence, with contributions from keyboardist Jen Gunderman. She has worked with Sheryl Crow to create an electric atmosphere that never overpowers the lyrics' eloquent storytelling. In 2021, Della Mae released another album called Family Reunion.
