Enjoy watching all-time greats competing again with Detroit Red Wings Alumni tickets. As part of the annual Toledo Walleye’s Winterfest festivities, the annual alumni game consists of seven former players of the Toledo Walleye that face off against seven former players of the Detroit Red Wings.
A few of the former Red Wings involved in the event have included forward and longtime enforcer Darren McCarty, goaltender Eddie Mio and defenceman Jason Woolley. McCarty was drafted in 1992 in the NHL Entry Draft by the Red Wings. McCarty scored the clinching goal in Game 4 of the 1996-1997 Stanley Cup. He was also part of the famous Grind Line. Goaltender Eddie Mio played for the Red Wings sporadically from 1983 to 1985. Jason Woolley was a defenceman for Detroit from 2002 to 2006, except for the 2004 season, when he was with the Flint Generals of the UHL.
