Over the next couple of years, the band saw their popularity expand as they landed sets at massive jazz festivals worldwide and ultimately signed a record deal with Columbia Records in 1987, releasing their album Voodoo, which featured iconic names like Dr. John and Dizzy Gillespie. In the decades since, the world has heard collaborations between the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Widespread Panic, Modest Mouse, Norah Jones and more.
