Obvious comparisons were instantly drawn with Maclean's brother's former group The Beta Band, but Django Django cemented their own reputation with acclaimed singles 'WOR' and 'Default'. Their 2012 debut album 'Django Django' went on to earn a nomination for the Mercury Music Prize and was generally regarded as one of the records of the year for its daring innovation, unassuming charm and ramshackle pop sensibilities.
