Duke Tumatoe Concert Tickets

Let the soulful sounds of the blues wash over you with Duke Tumatoe tickets. Duke Tumatoe is the stage name for William Fiorio, a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Illinois. Fiorio was born in 1947 in Chicago and was strongly influenced by the street blues players he would hear on the city’s South Side. After seeing Muddy Waters play as a teenager, Fiorio began learning to play the drums and guitar.

While studying at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, Fiorio founded his first band Lothar and the Hand People. Two years later he would join future star band REO Speedwagon, though left the group in its early stages once it turned toward rock and roll and away from the blues.

Fiorio's longest stint with a band came in the mid-80s, when he formed the group The Power Trio. A dedicated blues ensemble, The Power Trio toured heavily across the US, averaging 200 shows per year. Fiorio is a self-taught guitarist who learned to play watching the blues artists of his native Chicago, and he has been widely praised for his skill, often compared by critics to the likes of B.B. King and Jimi Hendrix. For a seat in front of the stage get your Duke Tumatoe tickets today to see this soulful blues musician give a moving live performance.
