They began recording demos and found some early success after having their single “Fingers On It” featured on the soundtrack for the 1986 film Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.
In 1989, the band signed with Warner Musics’ ATCO Records and released their self-titled debut album, reaching No. 74 on the Billboard 200. The album featured some of the band's biggest hits including “Fly High Michelle” with peaked at No. 47 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has remained an iconic song in the hair metal genre. The group continued gaining momentum with an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman and support from Rolling Stone magazine as they dropped their sophomore album, Strength, in 1991. The album was well-received, being praised for catchy chorus melodies and massive guitar licks, setting the stage for their third album, Animals with Human Intelligence, in 1993. They have remained a part of the scene for decades and continue to bring fans new music, releasing Hardrock Nite in 2021.
