Born in 1995, Chou was inspired to pursue a career in music after attending a concert by Jay Chou as a child. He later moved with his family to Boston, Mass., where he studied at the Fay School and Northfield Mount Hermon School. As a teenager, he learned to play the piano and wrote “The Distance of Love,” which would later become a runaway hit.
Chou then returned to Taiwan as a young man, where he was soon discovered by actor Edison Huang. Huang helped the rising singer release his debut single “The Distance of Love” through Sony Music Taiwan, which topped nearly 20 separate charts shortly following its release. In 2016, Chou capitalized on the success with the release of the follow-up single “How Have You Been?”.
