In 2009 Lapointe released the album Ailleurs, Volume 1, which featured multiple stars including Céline Dion. In 2011 he collaborated with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra to put out Lapointe Symphonique. He has frequently appeared as a judge on the Quebec version of the hit show The Voice. In total, Lapointe has won nine Félix Awards since 1995—three of which have been for Best Rock Album. He has also won the Public Choice Award twice at the Quebec City Summer Festival, once in 1997 and then again in 2000.
