Shortly after he accepted a job as a business analyst at Deloitte Consulting in New York City. He decided that this was not the career path for him and decided to pursue a career in entertainment. Eric released a YouTube cover that went viral in 2012. MBC saw this cover and invited Nam to participate in a popular program, “Star Audition: Birth of a Great Star 2.” After eight months of participating in the show, he was ranked in the top five of the contestants and began his career in South Korea. 

Eric Nam is a very talented individual that can sing, write songs, and is a great television host. He is also fluent in English, Korean, and Spanish which makes him a very versatile performer. In 2013, he made his debut with the release of his lead single “Heaven’s Door”, which opened the door for many other opportunities. In April of 2014, he performed at a sold-out stage at the Seoul Jazz Festival with artists such as Chris Botti, Damien Rice, and Jamie Cullum where he released his first digital single, “Ooh Ooh.” This led to the release of his second digital single, “Melt My Heart”, in December. In 2016, Eric was able to release his first single in the United States named, “Into You”, which was collaborated with the band KOLAJ. This new release was aired on Beats 1 Radio and The Fader allowing it to reach number one on the Hype Machine. Nam has made his mark worldwide and continues to grow his name.
