Erra first came together in 2009, taking its name from the ancient Akkadian god of war and plagues. They spent a number of years refining their unique signature sound before the strength of their Andromeda EP saw them signed to Tragic Hero Records in 2011. Erra would go on to enjoy some of their earliest tours performing alongside bands like Upon A Burning Body and Born of Osiris. 

Despite a slew of lineup changes in the years that followed, Erra achieved mainstream success in 2014 through the release of their EP Moments of Clarity. Moments of Clarity became a number one hit on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart, greatly increasing the group’s exposure.
