They invited drummer Seth Davis to replace their original drummer Christ Nail before touring again through 2010 and 2011. In 2011, Exhorder bassist Frankie Sparcello passed away from unknown causes. The band finished their tours, picking up bassist Jorge Caicedo at the last minute before taking another hiatus.

Exhorder reunited in 2017 and performed both of their albums at a two-night event in Brooklyn the following year. The band resumed touring through the United States following the concert, and, in 2018, they began working on a new album. That album, Mourn the Southern Skies, was released in 2019.
