See the pop rock star perform live with Fito Paez tickets. Fito Paez is the stage name for Rodolfo Paez, a pianist and singer-songwriter from Argentina who first rose to fame in the 1990s. He is known for his intelligent songwriting and politically conscious lyrics. 

Born in Rosario in 1963, Paez showed an interest in music from a young age. He founded his first band at 13 and enjoyed moderate regional success with the group touring bars and clubs before setting off on a solo career. In 1984, Paez released his debut solo album Del ‘63. The release received widespread critical acclaim and earned the singer-songwriter a devoted following in Buenos Aires in particular. 

Paez’s work caught the eye of Luis Alberto Spinetta, with whom Paez collaborated on his sophomore album La La La. In the years that followed, the young songwriter developed a reputation for lyrics addressing socio-political issues such as poverty, exploitation and civil unrest. Paez’s greatest successes came in 1992 when he released his album El Amor Despues del Amor, which would become his most popular work and sell more than 750,000 copies.
