Forbidden Broadway is generally performed with a cast of four to five as a cabaret revue. The production takes aim at songs, characters and plots from well-known Broadway musicals ranging from The Lion King and Wicked to The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. In 2006, both Forbidden Broadway and Alessandrini received the Tony Honors for Excellence in Theatre.
