Originally going by the name Virulence, the band first formed as a hardcore punk group. They ended up changing their name and replacing several members within the first few years to perfect their sound. Their debut EP If This Isn’t a Dream… was released in 1989 under Alchemy Records.
Their first studio album, No One Rides for Free, was released five years later in 1994 by the independent label Bond Load Custom Records, and this release solidified the band’s presence in the stoner rock genre. The band’s current members consist of Scott Hill, Brad Davis, Bob Balch and Scott Reeder, who each contribute instrumentals and vocals to their songs.
The group's twelfth album, Clone the Universe, was released in February of 2018. With a dozen albums under their belt, this group has matured their sound and grown a large fan base throughout the United States and internationally.
