The Gasparilla Bowl is an NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision bowl game that is operated by ESPN Events. The game was originally known as the St. Petersburg Bowl and played at Tropicana Field. The bowl was renamed the Gasparilla Bowl in 2017 in reference to José Gaspar, a pirate who sailed out of the Tampa Bay area. It was then relocated to Raymond James Stadium at 4201 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33607 in 2018.

The inaugural game was held on December 20, 2008, and featured a stunning victory by the USF Bulls over the Memphis Tigers. The first 12 years of the bowl featured conference tie-ins with C-USA, MAC, and the Sun Belt Conference. The bowl signed new conference tie-in contracts for the American Athletic Conference and Southeastern Conference to begin fielding teams for the bowl starting in 2020. The Atlantic Coast Conference will serve as an alternate should either of the two primary conferences be unable to send any bowl-eligible teams.
