The band formed when the members were all still young teens, writing songs together and eventually deciding to record an album in Bassin’s basement. With sneakers as mic stands, and blankets draped over the amps, it was hardly a refined operation. But the music that they would go-on to create together would soon transform them into one of New York City’s hottest indie-rock outfits as Geese tickets became an instant must-have for local music lovers.
The Brooklyn quintet first made serious traction with their debut single, “Disco,” a gritty track that draws inspiration from post-punk legends like Gang of Four and Public Image Ltd, emphasizing the band’s psychedelic and post-punk influences. With a growing buzz surrounding the group, they made “Disco” the center piece of their debut album, Projector. Released in 2021, it was met with immediate acclaim, earning the group a deal with Partisan Records. Now, these Brooklyn prodigies are gaining a growing and vibrant audience outside of New York City, so be sure to catch them live and enjoy a memorable indie-rock performance.
