The Pioneer League was founded in 1939 and includes 10 teams with the addition of the Glacier Range Riders. It operates under the MLB umbrella, but does not have a direct affiliation with the league. The season consists of 96 games and is scheduled from May through September. There is one round of playoffs and a best-of-three Championship series.
