Glass Animals' second album, How to Be a Human Being (2016), was an overall well-received body of work, winning two categories at the 2018 MPG Awards for UK Album of the Year and Self Producing Artist of the Year.

Their third album, Dreamland (2020), entered the UK album chart at number two, with their single "Tokyo Drifting" peaking at number seven on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.
