Gorillaz Concert Tickets

Watch the UK’s most innovative genre-defying alternative groups with Gorillaz tickets. The completely virtual art-pop band is a collaboration between musician Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett. The virtual band features animated characters Stuart “2-D” Pot, Noodle, Russel Hobbs and Murdoc Niccals. While this animated cast of musicians are the visual representation of the band, Albarn is actually the only true member of the group. In 1998, Albarn developed the idea for a fake band while watching MTV and seeing the overly manufactured boy band crazes of the ‘90s. Working on creating the Gorillaz allowed Albarn to move away from the Britpop sound his other band Blur was known for and explore new musical styles like hip-hop, electronic and world music.

In 2001, Gorillaz’s self-titled debut album was released and quickly went platinum thanks to the album’s lead single “Clint Eastwood”. Gorillaz tickets quickly became popular as it intrigued fans how the animated group would perform live. In 2015, Gorillaz released Demon Days to critical and commercial acclaim. Demon Days outperformed the group’s first album and is the band’s most successful album to date. The major success of the album can be attributed to the chart-topping single “Feel Good Inc.”.

The group continued to dominate the music charts with follow-up albums, Plastic Beach, The Fall, Humnaz, The Now Now and Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez. The band’s live performances are a unique experience unlike any other group around. Gorillaz’s early live performances often showcase the real band members cloaked in shadow or in silhouette, while large screens project the animated performers. Witness this one-of-a-kind show for yourself by ordering Gorillaz tickets today.
