They have released nine full length albums, two live records as well as toured extensively including performances on the Vans Warped Tour where they are infamous for their outrageous antics which got them banned in Canada for 18 months. They formed in Huntington Beach, California in 1988.
Guttermouth released their debut LP, Full Length, in 1991, when the punk rock scene was exploding in Southern California, and even played alongside fellow bands like The Offspring and The Vandals. While starting to write their second album they were approached by Dexter Holland, the lead singer of The Offspring, to release it on his new record label, Nitro. They released their second album, Friendly People on Nitro along with five other albums. With the huge success of albums like Dookie from Green Day and Smash from The Offspring, punk rock came to the mainstream and put Guttermouth on the map.
