Within a year, the pair had released their eponymous debut album through AOP Records.

The band quickly amassed a devoted following, and by the mid-2010s had performed alongside high-profile metal groups like The Great Old Ones and Der Weg einer Freiheit. Harakiri in the Sky made an appearance at the well-known Summer Breeze Open Air festival in 2016, then the following year received an Amadeus Austrian Music Award nomination for their album III: Trauma.
