The series’ songs are accompanied by performances from a world-class ensemble of Latin dancers. 

The bulk of Havana Nights’ music is led by The Mambo Kings, a New York-based Latin jazz group that formed in 1995. They are known for their live improvisational skills and proficiency in a plethora of Latin styles, in particular Afro-Cuban music. The Mambo Kings made their orchestral debut in 1997 with the Rochester Philharmonic and have since performed alongside several leading orchestras, including the Baltimore, Vancouver and Portland Symphony Orchestras.

They recorded their first album Marinera in 2003, enjoying wide airplay in the US and Puerto Rico. The Mambo Kings’ members are pianist Richard DeLaney, percussionist Wilfredo Colon, saxophonist John Viavattine, bassist Hector Diaz and percussionist Tony Padilla.
