Huey Lewis Concert Tickets
Experience the magic of live music with Huey Lewis! Huey Lewis delivers unforgettable live performances featuring hit songs that will have you dancing and singing along every minute of the concert. The son of an Irish father and a Polish mother, Huey Lewis was born in New York and brought up in California, teaching himself harmonica while hitch-hiking across America, often sleeping rough. He also busked his way around Europe playing blues songs and, on returning to the US, gigging in the San Francisco Bay area. Lewis joined the band Clover, recording two albums with them, and changed his name to Hughie Louis - later adapted to Huey Lewis.
He also played harmonica on Thin Lizzy's Live & Dangerous album and was subsequently signed by Phonogram Records and formed The News as his backing band. Their commercial breakthrough was the hard-rocking Picture This in 1982, but it was the Sports album in 1983 which was his biggest commercial success as he evolved an infectious good-time rock style that in 1985 produced the international smash hit The Power Of Love, written for the 1985 blockbuster movie Back To The Future. Lewis subsequently produced Bruce Hornsby's debut album The Way It Is and Nick Lowe's hit I Knew The Bride, and recorded duets with Gwyneth Paltrow and Garth Brooks.
