In 2020, Infant Island released Beneath, which again received high praise and earned spots on several critics’ Best Albums of the Year lists. Their successes continued with the release of Sepulcher later that year. The band has been noted for its similarity to high-profile screamo bands like Majority Rule and City of Caterpillar, as well as their unique incorporation of elements from the hardcore punk and black metal genres.
