Enjoy a new perspective on living with Infinite Life tickets. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winner, Annie Baker, this off-Broadway play follows five women situated in Northern California. The plot follows this group of women as they lounge outside in chairs and have a philosophical, yet humorous conversation regarding suffering, aging and dealing with a body that does not work the way you want it to. Infinite Life made its debut in August 2023 at the Linda Gross Theater in New York. The production is a little under two hours long with no intermission. As Infinite Life gets into adult themes and uses adult language, this play is not one recommended for younger audiences. While dealing with difficult topics about hopelessness when it seems like there is no way out and struggles with chronic pain and a desire for more, the play still manages to infuse comedy into the women’s discussion.
Annie Baker is an American playwright best known for her debut off-Broadway play Body Awareness and her award-winning play, The Flick. The latter won the 2013 Obie Award for Best New American Play and Performance as well as the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 2014. Baker has four productions which are set in the fictional town of Shirley, Vermont, the third in the series being Body Awareness in 2008. She specializes in works that involve ordinary people in small towns dealing with everyday problems. Despite the simple dialogue and straightforwardness of her material, Baker’s works are naturally vivid and smart in a way that draws audiences naturally into the story. Do not miss out on a great theatre production with Infinite Life tickets.
