Two of its founding members, Sean Hynes and Lyn Jeffs, were previously members of the British deathcore band Annotations of an Autopsy. After self-releasing their debut EP, Stinking Cesspool of Human Remnants EP (2007), they were quickly signed to Candlelight Records. They then released their first full-length studio album, Surpassing the Boundaries of Human Suffering (2009).
The album was later followed up by The Surreption (2011), The Architect of Extinction (2015), and several more. One of their most notable albums was Where Only Gods May Tread (2020), which was chosen as No. 44 on Metal Hammer’s list of “Best Metal Albums of 2020.” Any death metal fan looking for some music that’s guaranteed to get your blood pumping should check out Ingested tickets before they leave town.
