Catch a great game with International League Championship tickets from TicketSmarter. The International League and Pacific Coast League are the United States’ two Triple-A baseball leagues that operate underneath Major League Baseball.
The International League began in 1884 but has been restructured several times leading up to its reorganization within the MLB system. There are 20 International League teams that compete across 14 states including Nebraska, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Florida. It generally serves the Eastern half of Triple-A competitors while the Pacific Coast League covers the Western states.
As of 2023, the International League is split into the East Division and West Division and teams play 150 games beginning in April and ending in late September. The regular season is divided into two halves and the winner of each in the East and the West meet in a best-of-three series to determine the league champion. The winner then faces the Pacific Coast League champion in the Triple-A National Championship Game.
