J Roddy Walston and the Business was comprised of Walston on lead vocals and piano along with drummer Steve Colmus, bassist Logan Davis and Billy Gordan playing lead guitar. The band was famed for its driving live shows and Walston’s style of piano playing. The band released four studio albums from 2007 to 2017 and several singles. The band’s biggest hit was the 2013 single “Heavy Bells,” off of the album Essential Tremors, which peaked at #13 on the Alternative Airplay Billboard chart. In 2019, the group announced they would disband at the end of the year.
