Harrison grew up with an artist mother and musician father, so he was surrounded by the arts at a young age. Harrison’s first success came when he met fellow musician Jonathan Richman. Harrison and Richman together made the band The Modern Lovers, and they released their debut album in 1972. Although a cult favorite, Modern Lovers split up in 1974. A few years after that in 1977, Jerry Harrison joined the band that would change his entire life, and that band was called Talking Heads.
Travel back to the 1970s and 1980s with Jerry Harrison tickets. Jerry Harrison played the keyboard and guitar for Talking Heads until they broke up in 1991. They would later reunite a few times including an album anniversary and their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002. After the Talking Heads breakup, Jerry Harrison began producing music for several bands like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, The Verve Pipe and Big Head Todd. Jerry Harrison as a solo artist has released three albums by the names The Red and the Black, Casual Gods and Walk on Water.
