Hear one of the voices of the 1970s and early 1980s with Jonah Koslen tickets. Singer and songwriter Jonah Koslen was born in Cleveland, Ohio on February 9, 1952. He is best known as a band member of the Michael Stealey Band in the 1970s and the group Breathless in the 1980s.
After Koslen graduated from high school he joined Snake Eyes, a band based in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1974, he joined the group of Michael Stealey, Daniel Pecchio, and Danny Sheridan to form the popular Northeast Ohio combo the Michael Stealey Band. The band went on to release three albums with Epic Records. Koslen was the writer of two of the ensemble’s classic songs in “Strike Up the Band” as well as “Nothing’s Going to Change My Mind.”

The group released their debut album with Epic Records in July of 1979. The group became a popular act locally and a single from the album, “Takin’ it Back” hit No. 92 on the Billboard Chart.
Breathless released one more studio album before dissolving in 1981. Koslen has released two albums of his own as well as formed another band called Jonah Koslen and the Heroes, which has released three albums.
