Richman has always boasted a strong cult following and his popularity increased in the 90s as he appeared on shows including multiple performances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. He also received a boost after appearing in the Farrelly brothers’ films There’s Something About Mary and Kingpin, as well as performing the song “As We Walk to Fenway Park” for their 2005 comedy Fever Pitch.
