Julia Fischer Concert Tickets
Discover an unforgettable evening of timeless compositions with Julia Fischer tickets. German violinist Julia Fischer has been lauded as one of the world's great classical musicians since she won the Yehudi Menuhin Competition in 1995 and went on to win other prizes and perform with major symphony orchestras. Her 2008 release 'Bach: Concertos' with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields went to number three on the Billboard Classical Albums Chart and 'Paganini: 24 Caprices' went to number 12 and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Solo Performance.
Born in Munich, she learned to play the violin as a small child and later studied at the Leopold Mozart Conservatory and the Munich Academy of Music. After performances across Europe and America, in 2003 she earned great acclaim when she played works by Sibelius at Avery Fisher Hall with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and Brahms at Carnegie Hall with cellist Han-Na Chang and the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
Since then she has toured with Neville Marriner and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, the Dresden Philharmonic, Herbert Blomstedt and the Gewandhaus Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Her debut recording 'Russian Violin Concertos' in 2004 raised her profile and several albums followed including 'Schubert: Complete Works for Violin and Piano Volume 1' (2009) with pianist Martin Helmchen which went to number 49 on the Billboard Classical Chart and 'Schubert: Complete Works for Violin and Piano Volume 2' (2010) which reached number 48.
'Poeme' (2011) with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo under Yakov Kreizberg went to number 19 and 'Sarate' (2014) with pianist Milana Chernyavska peaked at number 23.
Her latest release is 'Duo Sessions' (2016) with cellist Daniel Müller-Schott. Whether it’s a grand symphony in a prestigious concert hall or a chamber music performance, there’s something all fans of classical music will enjoy.
