Kansas City Symphony Concert Tickets
Come and enjoy a relaxing evening out when you get your Kansas City Symphony tickets now at TicketSmarter. The Symphony was originally formed in 1911 but ceased operating when World War 1 began, as many of the performers were sent to war. From there, the Symphony became the Kansas City Philharmonic, which was founded in 1933. However, it only lasted until 1982. R. Crosby Kemper, Jr. saw the need for a new symphony orchestra and was able to found the Kansas City Symphony again. They have been together ever since.
80 full-time musicians make up the Symphony currently, playing woodwind, brass, percussion, and strings. It plays a 42-week season every year and includes a multitude of concerts, such as educational, subscription, various tours (both national and regional), and public outreach performances. The Symphony also plays music for the Kansas City Ballet and the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. You can get your Kansas City Symphony tickets today and see a wonderful performance live.
The Kansas City Symphony has released multiple CDs throughout the years and has helped to create a hand-held device that enhances concert experiences by presenting information about the music while it is being played. It is aptly called the Concert Companion and has been tested by not only the Kansas City Symphony, but various others like the New York Philharmonic, Pittsburgh Symphony, Oakland East Bay Symphony, and at the Aspen Music Festival, as well.
