They are known for their ethereal signature sound that combines elements from psychedelic rock and surf rock. Keeps is made up of Alex Moore on drums, Patrick Sewalk on bass, Robbie Jackson on guitar and Gusti Escalante on vocals.
Keeps first came together in Nashville in 2012 with a vision of playing a more soulful, contemplative style of indie rock than was common in the genre. After a number of years spent refining their sound and developing a following in and around the city, Keeps released their debut album Brief Spirit in 2016. Brief Spirit earned widespread praise from critics for its sophisticated instrumentation, smooth vocals and high production value. They released their follow-up album Affectianado in 2020 before setting off on their first series of national tours.
Keeps then made waves in 2022 with the release of their album Over Again, which earned the group comparisons to well-known acts like Tame Impala, Beach House and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
