Kid Capri is known throughout the world as one of the pioneers of DJ culture. Love got his start scratching records on a Zenith stereo system owned by his father. He started to sell his own mixtapes and perform gigs at local venues as soon as he could. He received the nickname the Guru of Mixtapes. He was the first DJ to perform on the major networks BET and VH1.
