Dance to a unique Colombian sound with Lido Pimienta tickets. Latin singer Lido Pimiento was born in Barranquilla, Columbia in 1986. She is well known for her eclectic music style which is a fusion of Cumbia, traditional Afro-Columbian and indigenous music, synthpop and electronic music and has cited being influenced by other styles.
Pimienta’s debut album, Color, was released in 2010, produced by her ex-husband Michael Ramey and released by the music label KUDETA, based in Los Angeles. Pimienta then studied art criticism as well as music production before the recording and release of La Papessa, her second album in 2016.

In 2016 she also worked with the band A Tribe Called Red on several tracks for their album We Are the Halluci Nation, also released in 2016. She rose to fame when La Papessa won the 2017 Polaris Prize, which included $500,000 as part of the award. The Polaris Prize is the top juried prize in Canada.
In 2020, she released the follow-up album Miss Colombia, inspired by the incident at the 2015 Miss Universe beauty pageant, in which the wrong winner was announced, prompting outrage in Columbia, inspiring her reflection on her Colombian heritage.
