The Lone Star Brahmas represent the Fort Worth suburb in North Richland Hills, Texas in Tier II junior hockey and compete in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) in the South Division. The NAHL is the only sanctioned Tier II junior ice hockey league in the United States.

They play home games at the NYTEX Sports Centre, which is a 2,400 seat multi-purpose arena in North Richland Hills. It is also home to the Texas Jr. Brahmas of the North American 3 Hockey League.

The Brahmas started playing in the NAHL in the 1999-2000 season as the Texas Tornado. The team moved to Frisco, Texas in 2003 and won the Robertson Cup, in 2001, 2004-2006 and 2012. They won the cup after losing in the Division Semifinals to the Topeka Roadrunners but advanced to the round-robin stage as the host of the 2012 tournament.
