She accompanies her singing playing either guitar or piano and recorded multiple albums for Capitol Records in the seventies, including the first recording of “Killing Me Softly with His Song.”
Since her dad was working as a chemical engineer, Lieberman traveled between California and Switzerland, graduating from the International School of Geneva. Many of her songs explore the sense of alienation she felt from not being anchored in one place. She began writing and performing songs at an early age.

Lieberman recorded three more albums with the team of Fox and Gimbel. She returned in 1978 with an album penned solely by her with Letting Go. She began to record again in the 1990s after a neighbor urged her to get back into music.
