Growing up, Margo planted her musical roots by learning to play piano and singing in the church choir at an early age. She began her music career in 2003 when she dropped out of school to pursue her passion and moved to Nashville. The first band Margo joined with her husband Jeremy Ivey was Secret Handshake, a band whose music reflected the political climate of the day. Margo Price tickets, at that time, were not the hot commodity they are today. Price and Ivey later went on to form the band Buffalo Clover and later formed their current band Margo and the Pricetags. Bandmates for Margo and the Pricetags were Sturgill Simpson and Kenny Vaughan.

Margo’s first studio album, Midwest Farmer’s Daughter, was released in 2016 which reached number 10 on the country music charts. The debut album featured singles “Hurtin’ (On the Bottle), and “Hands of Time.” It also was the first step to her rise to stardom. Price’s second album “All American Made” saw similar success as the first when it reached number 1 on the UK charts.

Since her meteoric rise to fame, Price has been nominated for two American Music Awards and one Grammy for Best New Artist of the Year. She has also been a guest on Saturday Night Live, The Charlie Rose Show and a host of other television and radio programs.
