His recording of As Steals the Morn won the BBC Music Magazine Vocal Award, and his recording of Schubert’s Cycles won the 2010 Gramophone Vocal Solo Award. Padmore currently serves as the artistic director of Cornwall’s St. Endellion Summer Music Festival, and in 2019 was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
