The professional men’s lacrosse team Whipsnakes Lacrosse Club, usually shortened to Whipsnakes LC, competes in the Premier Lacrosse League, or PLL as one of the six founding teams of the league. The PLL is a traveling league and so the Whipsnakes do not have a home city.

The team’s inaugural coach was Jim Statnitta, who led the Whipsnakes to back-to-back championship seasons and finish 10-4 in his first two seasons as coach. In 2019, the team defeated Redwoods LC 12-11 to claim the inaugural PLL title. The following year, Whipsnakes LC defeated Chaos LC to win a second straight championship.
