After their third album, Ninja Sex Party began focusing on cover tracks, including "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and "Take On Me." Their cover-focused album, Under the Covers, was released in 2016. Under the Covers swiftly reached No. 9 on the Billboard charts, No. 17 in the Top 200 Albums, No. 3 in Rock Albums, and No. 2 in Independent Albums.
