Cheer on the Mean Green with North Texas Basketball tickets. The University of North Texas (UNT) men's basketball team, nicknamed the Mean Green, plays in NCAA Division I as a member of the American Athletic Conference.

UNT won its first NCAA Tournament game in 2021 against the fourth-seeded Purdue Boilermakers in an overtime thriller. It came in the program’s fourth tournament appearance. The first NCAA tournament berth came in 1988 under coach Jimmy Gales.
