Listen to a stellar classical performance with Pacifica Quartet tickets. The professional string ensemble the Pacifica Quartet plays out of Bloomington, Ind. The members of the group include Simin Ganatra on first violin with Austin Hartman on second violin, Mark Holloway on viola and cellist Brandon Vamos.

The group was founded in 1994 with the original lineup with the violins played by Ganatra and Sibbi Bermhardsson and original violist Kathryn Lockwood. The ensemble won the 1996 Coleman Chamber Music Competition in 1996 as well as the 1997 Concert Artists Guild Competition. In 1999, the Quartet won the Naumburg Chamber Music Competition.

Enjoy classical music played masterfully with Pacifica Quartet tickets. Lockwood was replaced by Masumi Per Rostad in 2001. The group still continued to accrue awards, garnering Chamber Music America’s Cleveland Quartet Award in 2002. In 2009, the group was named the “Ensemble of the Year”. 

The Pacifica Quartet tours both throughout the United States and internationally. The ensemble has gathered a reputation for playing through the entire string oeuvre of a composer. Recent recordings from the group include the quartet compositions of Elliot Carter, Mendelssohn, Beethoven and Shostakovich. The ensemble is Quartet-in-Residence at the Jacob School of Music at Indiana University as well as being faculty.
