Pavlo Concert Tickets
Enjoy an international guitarist’s unique sound with Pavlo tickets. Pavlo Simtikidis is a Canadian folk guitarist who blends Greek, Latin and Spanish music into a pop fusion uniquely his own. A son of Greek immigrants, Pavlo was born in Toronto, Canada. Simtikidis was ten years old when a cousin demonstrated a riff from a Beatles song on guitar. Pavlo incorporates that song, “Day Tripper,” into almost every show he plays.
Pavlo showed a great aptitude for music at an early age, writing his first song at twelve. At thirteen, he put on a concert for his fellow students, charging 25 cents per attendee. Pavlo has studied extensively and broadly, from classical to flamenco, playing in rock and a RUSH tribute bands as he worked on his sound. In his mid-20s, as he was on the Greek island of Santorini, he wrote “Santorini Sunset,” a song that featured the Greek instrument the bouzouki.
Listen to Greek and Latin-tinged music with Pavlo tickets. His first album, Pavlo was released in 1998 through Sleeping Giant Records, and he released his second album in 2000. Fantasia rose to the top ten in the Billboard Charts and was nominated for a JUNO Award for Best Instrumental Album.
Pavlo has released over ten more albums and been featured on many compilations and received multiple awards. His albums have sold more than 500,000 records, and he has been nominated for numerous JUNO awards for his work.
