The members of Peelander-Z met in Buffalo, New York, around 1998 despite each of them being originally born in Japan. The original lineup of the group included Peelander Yellow (Kengo Hioki), Peelander Red (Kotaro Tsukada) and Peelander Blue (Kazuki Yamamoto). Despite band members transitioning in and out of the group as Peelander-Z added and subtracted colors like Green (Ryo Tanaka) and Pink (Yumiko Kanazaki), the band’s consistent energy kept their fanbase growing. The group released their first self-titled album in 2000. Since they have released eleven albums including 2018s Go PZ Go! Along with their album releases Peelander-Z has multiple DVDs as well like 2016s Mad Tiger.
