Pinkshift was formed in Baltimore, Md., from the ashes of frontwoman Ahsrita Kumar (vocals) and Paul Vallejo’s (guitar) previous project Sugar Crisis. After meeting in college, the pair recorded together and eventually met Myron Houngbedji (drums) before also adding Erich Weinroth (bass). With the four-piece group complete they adopted the name Pinkshift in 2020.

Powered by a multicultural ensemble Pinkshift tickets pack a unique flair that is rarely seen in the punk rock scene. The spirited vocals of Kumar have helped lift Pinkshift up in the audience's eyes along with their successful debut EP Saccharine released in 2021.
