They are a part of the premier collegiate summer baseball league of the West Coast in the South Division. They play against other great teams like the Bend Elks, Cowlitz Black Bears, Corvallis Knights and the Ridgefield Raptors in their division. They play their home games at the Charles B. Walker Stadium at Lents Park which has a capacity of 1,566 spectators. Their nicknames are the Picks, with their mascot name Dillon the Pickle, and the team colors are navy blue, green and white.

The Pickles were founded in 2015 and they picked their name through an online contest. They were first a part of the Great West League, where they were at 99% capacity their inaugural season with a whopping sixteen sold-out games. They finished their first year with a winning season, 32-25, under manager J.J. Altobelli.
