The pair then took ownership of the Stophouse Music Group label, through which Anderson releases the majority of his music. 

In 2012, the Minneapolis newspaper City Pages named Anderson one of its top twenty rappers of the year. The publication, in particular, praised his singing ability and incorporation of comedy into his raps. The following year Prof signed to Rhymesayers Entertainment, through which he released his album Liability. The album went on to appear on the Billboard 200.

Anderson’s songs then saw use on television, in particular on ABC’s show The Rookie. In 2020 he released his album Powderhorn Suites through the Stophouse Music Group, which made it within the top fifty on the Billboard 200. Anderson is known for his irreverent style, seamless switches between slow and fast-paced flows and extensive wordplay.
