The members are Josh Key, Matty Rzemy, Alex Dontre and Rob Kersey. The band formed in the late 90s in Odessa, Texas, originally playing under the name Asinine. In 2000 they relocated to Arizona, where they filled out the lineup and became Psychostick.

In 2003, Psychostick released their debut album We Couldn’t Think of a Title, which was a runaway success. The album reached the top fifty on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers chart, as well as on the Top Independent Albums chart. By 2006, Psychostick was touring alongside high-profile acts like Bobaflex and Indorphine.

In 2008, the band released their most well-known album, Sandwich which reached No. 15 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers chart. Psychostick has since grown a devoted cult following for their funk metal/nu-metal sound and lyrics centered around observational comedy. They also intersperse their live shows with heavy use of costumes and props. The band has repeatedly gone viral online for their weekly Twitch and YouTube concerts.
